Tim Trojian and Eliza Clark found the gorgeous old building in the heart of the Catskills that is now Foxfire in 2013. It wasn’t love at first sight because at first glance the renovations needed seemed overwhelming both for their skill level and for their budget. But the dream began, the lure of possibility, and the barely whispered…what if?

Tim is a nomadic chef with a passion for rustic farm-to-table and open fire cooking. Eliza is a television producer and writer. Their goal was to find a way to work together daily, and fall into bed together nightly and be truly partnered in love and business. Foxfire offered that possibility.

After renovating the 11-room inn together, learning as they went and being extremely hands-on DIY with most projects from laying Moroccan tile, to pouring a concrete bar, to designing custom beds and light fixtures, Foxfire Mountain House and its Bar Room officially opened in May 2016.

Tim and Eliza are using their reno skills and vintage furnishing expertise to take residential and commercial design commissions.
